Three dead, 6 injured in Ogun crash

At least three people were killed and six others injured in a car accident at the toll gate area of ​​the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Friday.

The Ota Division Commander of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Salau Hamed, confirmed the incident to journalists.

Hamed said the accident involving 15 people and six vehicles occurred at around 14.15

He added that an eyewitness reported that the Howo truck entering the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway lost control due to brake failure and crashed into another vehicle.

“The truck killed three people, consisting of a man, a woman and a toddler girl, while six others, three men and three women, were injured,” said TRACE officials.

He said the victims were trying to board the bus when the tragic incident occurred.

The bodies have been deposited at Ifo Regional Hospital, while the survivors are receiving treatment at Ota Regional Hospital, he concluded.
