Tinubu appointed a VC for the University of Education in Kano, Zaria

Tinubu Bola President has appointed Abdurrazaq Nakore as a pro-sselling and chairman of the Board of Management Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano.

He also agreed to the appointment of Prof. Abdullahi Kodage as the new Vice Chancellor of the institution.

Special advisors about the media and publicity to the President, Bayo Onanuga, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Nakore, a colleague from the Nigerian engineer community, is the executive secretary of the Rural Electricity Council in the State of Jigawa.

President Tinubu also appointed Prof. Yahaya Bunkure as Deputy Chancellor of Federal Education University, Zaria, State of Kaduna.

Bunkure is an academic who is respected in science education and currently serves as Deputy Chancellor of the University of Education Saadatu Rimi, Kano.

Federal Education University, Zaria, and Federal Education University Yusuf Maitama Sule, Kano, including between four universities that were upgraded to universities between 2022 and 2023.

“In accordance with the institutional government law, the pro-cance will undergo a four-year term, while the Vice Chancellor will serve for five years,” the statement added.
