President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Alhaji Ndagi Alhassan as a substantial register of the nursing and obstetric advice of Nigeria (Nmcn).
The appointment was contained through a letter dated 2 July 2025, signed by the coordinated minister of health and social well -being, Prof. Ali Pate.
The letter indicated that the substantial appointment is for four years with effect from May 19, 2025.
βThe appointment is on terms of service that can be determined from time to time.
βWhile I congratulate you for such an appointment, you urge you to consolidate and improve the results made so far. This is in order to justify the trust placed in you.
“I am my expectation that you work in collaboration with all the interested parties to ensure that the Council continues to reposition the nursing practice and provide quality services.”
Reacting to happy development, Alhassan said he feels euphoric, adding: βThis is one of the happiest days of my life. This is because of the trust and the national assignment have entrusted me.
“I felt happy and I am very debit with the minister, who asked me to guarantee that the nursing profession is brought to greater heights.”
The chancellor promised to work diligently, saying: “I assure him that, by the grace of God, I will do everything that is humanly possible to ensure that my mandate is achieved”.
As he committed total loyalty to Pate, the chancellor promised to work tirelessly to guarantee the success of the renewed agenda of hope of the Tinubu administration.
βThis is above all as regards his attention to health, in particular the efforts supported to stem the tide of the growing maternal mortality in the country.
βSo, I will work in collaboration to ensure that the minister’s mandate is achieved.
“Instructively, we will collectively take plausible measures to break down the disorder of the maternal mortality rate in the country,” he said.
