Tinubu appoints new permanent secretary for FCTA

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four Permanent Secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Director of Press, Office of the FCT Minister, Mr. Anthony Ogunleye, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said the appointment was necessary due to the impending retirement of two permanent secretaries and the formation of the Youth Development Secretariat.

The director listed the names of those appointed as Joy Okeke (Southeast), Rotimi Ajayi (Southwest), and Nancy Nathan (Northeast).

He added that Tinubu also approved the formalization of the position of Deputy Attorney General for Terrorism Crimes (JPU) as Deputy Attorney General for Terrorism Crimes/Permanent Secretary of the Legal Services Secretariat.

Ogunleye disclosed that the appointees, including the Mandate Secretary, Youth Development Secretariat, Mr. Abdullahi Ango, would be sworn in on Thursday.

The President on March 12 appointed 10 pioneer permanent secretaries for the FCTA in accordance with the provisions of the FCT Civil Service Commission Law, 2018.
