Tinubu calls former Rivers Administror, ​​Ibas

President Tinubu Bola has summoned the former single administrator of the State of Rivers, Deputy Admiral Ibok-eet Ibas (RTD), to the President’s villa, Abuja.

Former Navy Chief of Staff went to the chair of power around 18:00 on Wednesday.

A few minutes later, the Chairperson of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, and the Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister for the economy, Wale Edun, arrived at the State Building.

However, the reasons for the meeting have not been confirmed.

Ibok completed his term of office as a river administrator last week, after raising emergency rules about oil -rich countries by the President.

President Tinubu, on March 18, appointed former Navy head as Rivers’s sole administrator after the suspension of Governor Siminilayi Fubara, his deputy, Prof. NGOZI ODU, and Members of the State Council of the Assembly for their role in the political crisis in the state.

The Assembly last week vowed to investigate Ibok’s six -month term in the state.
