Tinubu celebrates Osinbajo at 68

President Bola Tinubu on Saturday extended sincere congratulations to the former vice -president Yemi Osinbajo for his 68th birthday.

Osinbajo, who was vice -president of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, was praised by Tinubu for his contribution to the development of the nation.

Tinubu, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, has highlighted the remarkable results of Osinbajo, including his role in collaborating with President Muhammadu Buhari to provide effective governance and critical infrastructure projects.

The president also recalled Osinbajo’s leadership during his period as an interim president while Buhari was on medical leave in the United Kingdom, underlining how Osinbajo demonstrated his skills during that period.

In addition, Tinubu recognized the previous work of Osinbajo as Prosecutor General and Commissioner for Justice during his mandate as a governor of the State of Lagos, where they worked together on various political and judicial reforms.

Tinubu also recognized Osinbajo’s decision to exercise his “democratic law” by contesting the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023, together with him.

“Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will always remain my friend and associated. He served our country as vice -president of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“He made all of us proudly in Congress all progressive by working collaboratively and harmoniously with the President without Rancor,” said Tinubu.

The president joined the Osinbajo family, including his wife Dolapo and children, as well as friends and collaborators, in wishing him many other years of good health, continuous success and future results. (Nan)
