Nigerian Ambassador Candidate, Femi Fani-Kayodeon Thursday urged Publisher Ovation Magazine, Dele Momoduto stop criticizing the President Tinubu Ball.
Hw admitted that the President had been Momodu’s benefactor for decades.
This was stated by the former Minister of Aviation in his statement at Abujawhile reacting to Momodu’s criticism of the President during a television interview and in a statement.
The leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gave an interview on Television Channels likening the President’s style of government to the dictatorship of the former military Head of State, the late General Sani Abacha.
In his reaction, Fani-Kayode described the comments as “misguided, ungenerous, and a reflection of an alarming level of cognitive dissonance.”
However, Momodu on Wednesday hit back at Fani-Kayode, and his fellow ambassador-designates, Reno Omokri, who also criticized them, describing them as “agents of relentless betrayal.”
Responding on Thursday, Fani-Kayode urged Momodu to stop criticizing the President, who he said had fed and housed him for 40 years.
The former minister, who described Momodu’s response as “emotional, uncontrolled and unreasonable,” advised him to “stay the course” and completely “step back” from the President, in order to move forward.

He said: “Unlike Dele, I did not benefit from him (Tinubu) for almost 40 years, eating from his plate, collecting favors from him.
“I don’t live in his house, claim to be his brother, but refuse to support him in achieving his dream of becoming President.”
He also warned Momodu, whom he described as his brother and friend, that he would no longer tolerate his attempts to misrepresent facts or launch personal attacks against him.
Fani-Kayode said he maintained respect and restraint towards Momodu because he had known him for a long time, but “the time for silence is now over.”
“For Bobby Dee, his glory days are definitely over, and I suspect that in 2027 when Tinubu emerges victorious, he will crawl back into the hole he came from.
“I am actively campaigning in 2023 and will continue to support the government’s reform program as this is in Nigeria’s national interest.
“Not only did I fight for Tinubu in 2023 during the presidential campaign, but I have remained loyal and committed to him and his cause since then, and I make no apologies for that either,” he added.
Fani-Kayode also criticized Momodu’s political alliance, saying it lacked credibility and was not ready to face serious challenges in governance.
According to him, opposition parties are ineffective and do not deserve attention in shaping Nigeria’s political future.
