Tinubu forms ministry of livestock development to address disputes between farmers and herders

President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of a Ministry of Livestock Development in the country.

The President also inaugurated the New Hope Livestock Reform Committee to address the ongoing conflict between livestock breeders and farmers in the country.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, disclosed this to State House correspondents as he led members of the committee to a meeting with the president in Abuja.

He said the move was one of the recommendations made by the president in September last year to address conflicts between herders and farmers, particularly in the North-Central region where thousands of people have been killed since 2018.
