Tinubu gives N2 billion for the resettment of the victims of Mokwa flood disasters

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Wednesday, directed the immediate release of N2 billion for resetting homes of the victims of the disaster of floods in the area of ​​the local government of Mokwa.

Vice -president Kashim Shetima said this when Mokwa visited to sympathize with the people and acquire direct knowledge of the disaster of floods.

He said that the president has further directed the rapid intervention on the drainage system and the delivery of 20 food trucks by the ministries relevant to the victims of the disaster of floods.

The vice -president said that as president of Niger Delta Power Holding Company, he will authorize the company’s managing director to take an agreement for a 14 MVA transformer for the people of Mokwa to ensure constant nutrition to the city.

He sympathized with the government and the people of the state of the Niger for the disaster and praised his rapid response efforts.

Governor Mohammed Bago, represented by his deputy, partner Yakubu Garba, expressed gratitude to the federal government for his continuous support.
