Tinubu is destined to receive the Baton Relè of King for 2026 Commonwealth Games

Nigeria is intended to welcome the Baton of the King to the Relè of the Baton as part of the official countdown of the Commonwealth games of 2026, with an event scheduled for 1-2 July 2025 in Abuja.

In a case of international meaning, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be formally presented with the Baton of the Commonwealth King Sport, while a delegation represents the Buckingham Palace arrives the country.

The goal of the campaign is to prevent one million plastic pieces from entering the waters of the Commonwealth.
