President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El Rufai, on the loss of his mother, Hajiya Umma, who died on Friday in Cairo, after an illness.
Tinubu, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, described the late matriarch of the El-Rufai family as “a mother who lived an extraordinary life and raised children and grandchildren who contributed greatly to our nation.”
Tinubu said: “Nasir, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing away of your beloved mother, Hajiya Umma, in Cairo today. As someone who has also lost an elderly mother, I share your grief. I understand the depth of your loss.
“Losing a mother is a pain unlike any other. I know that no words can completely ease your pain, but I pray that the memories of her love, wisdom and guidance bring you comfort in the days ahead. I also hope that you find strength in the extraordinary life she lived and the values she instilled in the entire family.
