President Bola Tinubu has called on all security agencies to desist from inter-agency rivalries and work together effectively to combat criminal elements and activities plaguing the country.
Speaking through the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, at the inauguration of the Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja on Wednesday, Tinubu stressed the urgency of unity against the organised threat posed by non-state actors.
“The security situation in the country is a complex mix of threats posed by well-organized non-state actors,” Tinubu said. “Addressing it requires an integrated approach by all stakeholders in the security architecture.”

Highlighting the government’s determination to tackle all forms of insecurity, Tinubu pointed to the growing threat posed by cybercriminals.
He underlined the need to enhance collaboration between the National Cyber Crime Centre and the Office of the National Security Advisor for more effective monitoring of online activities.
