Toure binds to Man City training crew

Manchester City has confirmed the permanent appointment of Kolo Toure to Pep Guardiola’s back room.

City confirmed the appointment in a statement on Tuesday.

“After playing the role of the first team’s assistant coach during the Club Fifa Club Cup campaign this summer, the 44 -year -old will remain in full -time position,” said City.

“It occurs after the ivory, which helped both Arsenal and the city to the success of the Premier League during an illustrious career as a player, enjoyed a season of great success that served as an assistant coach with the last quarter of U18 of the city.

“Working together with the main coach Oliver Reiss, the former defender of the Ivory coast helped to pilot the young people of the city to the title of the Premier League U18 North, our children under 18 exceeded closely 1-0 in Aston Villa in the national final.

“Together with Reiss, Toure also guided the young Blues to the final of the FA Youth Cup before Villa imposed us on the trophy.

“Toure also has extensive training experience outside the city, since he initially worked with the national configuration of Ivory Coast before spending time at Glasgow Celtic and Leicester City as part of Brendan Rodgers’ training team.

“Before joining the training configuration of the City Academy, Kolo also made a brief period in Wigan Athletic.”
