Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu has completed a season-long loan move to Turkish Super Lig club, Trabzonspor.
The 29-year-old Nigerian international joined Trabzonspor from English Championship side, Southampton, where he had a brief stint.
Onuachu’s time at Southampton was not as successful as he had hoped, as he failed to make a significant impact during his spell at the club.
Despite making 12 league appearances for the Saints, the lanky striker was unable to find the back of the net.
Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League last season further hindered his opportunities to prove himself.
During the current season, Onuachu only made one appearance for Southampton before deciding to move to Trabzonspor on loan.
This move presents him with a fresh opportunity to reignite his career and showcase his abilities in a different league.
By joining Trabzonspor, Onuachu becomes the third Nigerian player to represent the club, following in the footsteps of Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme.
It remains to be seen how he will adapt to his new surroundings and contribute to Trabzonspor’s performances in the Turkish Super Lig.
