Troops arrested fake police with Indian flax in Taraba

The Nigerian army, 6 Brigade, has arrested two fake police officers with a large number of sativa cannabis, also known as Indian flax, in the state of Taraba.

Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, 6 Brigade, Lieutenant Umar Mohammed, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Wednesday in Jalingo.

He said the suspects were arrested in the area of ​​the Wukari Regional Government in the state.

Mohammed said: “Acting based on credible intelligence, joint troops of Ndlea personnel intercepted and arrested two fake police officers in Takum Junction in the Wukari Regional Government.

“The suspects, wearing cellular police uniforms, were traveling with two Van Toyota Hilux which was loaded with a substance suspected of being marijuana.

“Initial investigations revealed that there were no residents serving the police. Vehicles that were full of marijuana were tracked from Akure, Ondo State, and towards the state of Adamawa before the intersection.

“A total of 1,134 cannabis blocks were found from both vehicles. Both the suspects and exhibitions that were restored have been handed over to the Ndlea office in Wukari for further investigation and prosecution.”
