In the operations against anti-terrorism throughout the North East Theater, the troops of the joint operation of the Task Force North East Hast Hadin Kai (ophk) have recorded significant successes against Boko Haram, Jamaatu Ahli Al- Sunna Daawa Wal Jihad (Jas) and Islamic State of the province West Africa (ISWAP) terrorists in the States of Borno and Yob.
According to the military, on August 22, 2025, in Kumshe in the state of Borno, the troops of 21 special armored brigades gallantly rejected a night attack on their operational base forward by a large number of terrorists armed with assorted weapons.
The military said that, with the support of the Nigerian Air Force platforms, the terrorists underwent strong victims during surveillance and precision bombings.
“The exploitation revealed over 20 corpses of terrorists, including the dismembered parts of the bombing buried quickly in shallow tombs, while weapons were also recovered.”
“In the same way, on the same day, the troops of sector 1 during offensive operations in Dipchari, near Bank Junction in the area of the local government of Bama contacted and followed by the clash, also dozens of terrorists have been neutralized.
“The recovered objects include a rocket-propulsion granato tube (RPG), two AK-47 rifles, two chargers, 16 shots of special ammunition of 7.62 mm and two motorcycles.
“In another operation of 23 August 2025, the troops of sector 2 in collaboration with the Civil Task Force (CJTF) conducted a long-haul tactical operation around the general area of Ndoksa near Buni Gari, in the State of Yobe. The operation led to the neutralization of additional terrorists and the recovery of an Ak-47 and two motorcycle pops.
“The coordinated operations further denied terrorists freedom of action, degraded their fireplace and interrupted logistics within the region.”
The high military command praised the troops on the impressive battle performance and urged them to support the offensive.
