Troops kill 10 suspected terrorists in North East

Nigerian Army troops have killed 10 suspected terrorists in the last 24 hours.

They also arrested suspects and rescued kidnapped persons in coordinated operations in various theaters across the country.

Reliable sources at Army Headquarters said the feat was recorded during the ongoing operations by troops of Operation Hadin Kai, Operation Fansan Yamma, Operation UDO KA and Operation OPEP.

In the North East, he said, Operation Hadin Kai troops, thwarted an infiltration attempt by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in Bitta in Borno State.

According to him, the rebels were forced to retreat after facing coordinated attacks and superior firepower from the troops.

He said the failed infiltration occurred shortly after terrorists launched attacks on troop positions in Banki and Azir Bridge, which were also repelled.
