Troops kill 10 suspected terrorists in Plateau

Troops of Operation Wutan Daji on Thursday killed 10 suspected terrorists in a coordinated attack in Plateau State.

The Nigerian Army disclosed this in an operational report given to journalists on Friday in Abuja.

It said the operation was carried out in Wase and Kanam Local Government Areas of the state

According to the army. the operation targeted identified terrorist corridors around the villages of Daba and Seri.

It said: “Troops established a blocking position between Dutsen Zaki and Odare Forest, which led to contact with terrorists moving on motorbikes along the axis.

” They engaged in a firefight with the terrorists, resulting in the neutralization of some of them, while others escaped with suspected gunshot wounds.

‘Exploitation of the area resulted in the recovery of 10 neutralized terrorists as well as combat items.

“The items seized included two motorbikes, 25 liter Premium Motor Spirit jerry cans, one AK-47 rifle and one magazine containing 7.62 mm special ammunition.

“This operation is ongoing, with troops maintaining high morale and a sustained offensive posture in the area.

“The Nigerian Army reaffirms its commitment to maintaining pressure on terrorists and restoring peace in affected communities.”
