Yamma’s Fasan Operation Forces have killed a bandit leader identified as a yellow Danbokkolo in the Sokoto state.
Director, Defense Media Operation, Major. Markus Kangye, confirmed the murder in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said the operation was carried out together with hybrid troops supported by air components and other security agents, following credible intelligence about the movement of bandits and terrorists who fled in northwest.
The spokesman said: “During the meeting, the famous terrorist kingpin, known as Yellow and Bokkolo, who for many years destroyed the East Sokoto population, suffered a serious gunshot wound.
“He later died on Monday due to the injuries suffered during a fierce battle with our troops.
“It is believed that Danbokkolo Yellow is far more feared than Bello Turji, because he masterminds the burning of December 2021 to travelers in the Shinkafi Regional Government in Zamfara, where all passengers were burned to death.

Kangye said the leader of the bandit who was killed lived with an endless pentazosin attack to maintain his cruel cruelty and activities.
He added that the troops, with a new determination, were on Jalan Bello Turji, who had hidden.
“The Nigerian armed forces are committed to restoring normality in all parts of the country and, therefore, calling for the cooperation of all Nigerians in this drive,” he said.
