Oteh also revealed that troops on Thursday arrested two suspects in connection with a security breach at Dutse Uku community in Jos North LGA.
He said the suspects, who were wearing uniforms, were disguised as security officers.
“These fraudsters, wearing black tactical uniforms, were caught actively participating in the burning of residential properties and orchestrating violence in the community.
“Those who were arrested are currently in custody, while the two people who suffered gunshot wounds are currently in a medical facility and are in stable condition.
“This important arrest is a direct rebuttal to recent allegations indicating military involvement in the unrest in Jos North.
“This effectively proves that the atrocities previously attributed to official personnel were committed by criminal elements using deceptive outfits to sow discord and defame the Armed Forces,” the spokesperson added.
