Troops neutralize three terrorists in Plateau

Troops of Sector 2, Operation Enduring Peace, have neutralized three suspected terrorists during an ambush in Karem village, Wase Local Government Area of ​​Plateau State.

Security sources said the operation took place around 9pm on Thursday, after reliable intelligence revealed that armed men on three motorbikes were heading towards the community.

The troops quickly mobilized and set up an ambush along the suspected route.

“Contact was established with the terrorists and the troops met them with superior firepower, neutralizing three of the attackers,” a source said.

A subsequent search of the area led to the recovery of the bodies of the suspects. No weapons or motorcycles were found, as other members of the fleeing group are believed to have taken them away during the encounter.

Security personnel have stepped up efforts to track down the fleeing suspects, with troops said to be in high morale and fully ready for action.
