Trump attacks Vice President Kamala Harris, calls her a ‘left-wing extremist’

Former US President Donald Trump on Wednesday launched a blistering attack on Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, calling her a “left-wing extremist” and the “ultraliberal driving force” behind Joe Biden’s policies.

At a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Trump claimed Harris would be the most left-leaning president “times 10” if elected.

Trump has criticized Harris’ record on abortion and immigration, accusing her of supporting the “execution” of babies and overseeing “deadly destruction” at the US border.

He also repeatedly mispronounced Senator Bernie Sanders’ first name and claimed that Senator Bernie Sanders was ranked as the most liberal member of the US Senate, making Senator Bernie Sanders seem moderate by comparison.

Harris has previously accused Trump of supporting a nationwide abortion ban and wanting to restrict freedoms and human rights. Trump responded by calling her a “radical-left lunatic” who would destroy the country if elected, and vowed to prevent that from happening.

“He is a radical-left madman who will destroy our country if he gets the chance to serve. We will not let that happen.

“If you want socialist health care, inflation that is destroying the country, the death of American energy, and a radical left-liberal extremist from San Francisco who loves to lie as your commander in chief, then Kamala Harris is your candidate,” Trump said.

It marked Trump’s first public campaign event since Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Harris.

The Republican nominee’s aggressive rhetoric has set the tone for a contentious election season.
