In the midst of increased concerns about China gaining technological advantages at AI, the US government is considering cracking down on AI China Deepseek company while also giving more pressure to the Nvidia house chip maker.
Trump’s administration reportedly thought of imposing a fine to prevent Deepseek using American technology and might prohibit Americans from using their services.
Sources close to the Trump 2024 campaign claim that concerns about data privacy, national security, and the possibility of foreign AI technology that affects American and the economy is the main reason behind the proposed prohibition.

Trump has long expressed suspicion of Chinese technology companies that participated in the US market, previously targeting businesses such as Tiktok and Huawei in all of its presidency. Although there has been no formal announcement, the conversation was reported in their initial stages.
According to additional sources, Silicon Valley has been required to provide a border AI model at a cheaper price because of Deepseek’s competitive prices, which has led to the popularity of startups among AI American engineers soaring in recent months.
