Trump Escapes Harm in Campaign Rally Shooting – TrendyNewsReporters

Republican presidential candidate and former US president Donald Trump was seen being helped off the stage with thin streaks of blood on his face by members of the US Secret Service after shots were fired while he was on stage at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The Trump campaign said in a statement Saturday night that Trump was “well” and “being evaluated at a local medical facility.” Donald Trump Jr. also told ABC News that his father is “in good spirits” as he remains under medical observation.

An alleged gunman and a member of the audience were killed, the AP reported, citing Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger. Another bystander was in serious condition.

President Joe Biden denounced the violence during his speech Saturday night and said in an earlier statement he was “grateful” that Trump is safe.

Trump and Biden are locked in a tight electoral rematch, with most opinion polls showing them tied. Trump is expected to officially receive the Republican nomination at the Republican National Convention starting in Milwaukee on Monday.
