Turaki conveyed this assurance when giving the opening remarks at the 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of his party faction held in Abuja.
He said the PDP leadership is working around the clock to ensure that the party remains a viable platform for all aspirants despite the ongoing crisis.
“I am also pleased to inform us that the leadership is diligently working around the clock to ensure that the PDP remains the right platform for all our members who wish to contest the elections, both in 2027 and beyond.
“We feel that whoever is given much, much is also expected. The support, cooperation, solidarity of members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and even the leadership of this party is very great.
“It seems overwhelming to us that our irreducible minimum responsibility to all of you is to ensure that we keep the PDP not only afloat, but also in a state where we will contest and win elections, and by the special grace of God, return to central government in 2027,” said the former Minister of Special Duties.

Turaki noted that the leaders deliberately postponed the meeting to analyze the scenarios unfolding both inside and outside the courtroom regarding the party’s leadership crisis.
He said that as leaders, they were in a better position to inform party members about all the developments taking place.
Regarding the defection of PDP members to other political parties, Turaki noted that the departure of key members—including former presidents, vice presidents and governors, would not lead to the collapse of the party.
“The PDP will continue to exist because it has become a democratic institution in Nigeria.
“No one person and no group of people can stand up and say, ‘This is our party.’ “That’s why even though we lose members, it doesn’t affect the continuity of this party,” he added.
