Turkish League: The Super Eagles Duo Was Right In The Victory Against Galatasaray

Nigeria’s senior team duo of Paul Onuachu and Chibuike Nwaiwu were the heroes for Trabzonspor in their 2-1 win over Galatasaray in the Turkish League, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Returning from international duty with Nigeria, the duo got off to a start at the top of the table and the league’s top scorer, Onuachu, wasted no time in making his mark.

He scored a header in the 4th minute to put his team ahead. His 22nd goal in 25 games further extends his lead as the League’s top scorer.

Nwaiwu, who made his international debut for Nigeria during the international break, was on hand to score his third goal of the season, with a firm header two minutes past the hour mark and it was good enough to give his team all three points.

The victory places them in second position in the standings, just one point behind Galatasaray although they have played one more game.
