Nigeria’s sub-20 national team coach Aliyu Zubairu launched a team of 24 men for the next 2025 Africa U-20 Cup, which will begin in Egypt in 10 days.
The team includes a mixture of players at home and professionals abroad, including several who play their club football in Europe.
In the Porteros Department, the chief coach named Ifeanyi Ebenezer Harcourt (Sporting Lagos), Rufai Abubakar (Mavlon FC) and Soliu Ajia Yakub (FK Novi Pázar).
Defensive options include Adamu Maigari (Warriors El-Kanemi), Odinaka Okoro (Sporting Lagos), Daniel Bameyi (Bayelsa United), Emmanuel Chukwu (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim) and Chigozie Michael Ihejiofor (Katsina United).
Zubairu called Caleb eightdikwu (NK Uljanik Pula, Croatia), Israel Isaac Ayuma (NK Istra), Simon Cletus (Mavlon FC), Sulaiman Alabi Jojo (El-Kanemi Warriors), Auwal Ibrahim (Akwa United), and Shafiu Adamu Daguru (Wiki Tourits), midfield.
The Forward Line Includes Priceus Benjamin (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim), Ezekiel Anthony Kpangu (Inspire FC), Divine Oliseh (Forster Academy), Clinton Jephta (Enyimba FC), Bidemi Amole (Real Sapphire FC), Tahir Maigana (Wireless FC) Mendos Rickson (Niger Tornado), Kparobo Nathaniel Arierhi (Lilstrom SK), Matthew Kingsley

The team travels to Egypt in the next few days for a final training field is expected to travel before the competition. Nigeria, a record winner seven times from the U-20 AFCon, will aim at an eighth title and a place in the FIFA World Cup U-20 2025.
The 2025 Sub-20 Nations Cup will also serve as a FIFA U-20 World Cup FIFA World Cup tournament, with the four best guaranteed automatic rating equipment.
