UCL: Liverpool knock out Osimhen’s Galatasaray, while Barca beat Newcastle

Victor Osimhen was injured during Galatasaray’s match against Liverpool in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles forward was substituted in the second half following an arm injury suffered by Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté.

Leading 1-0 from the first leg in Türkiye, Galatasaray looked to finish the job but failed to match the Reds, who secured a 4-0 win.

Dominik Szoboszlai broke the deadlock before Mohamed Salah missed a penalty in the first half. Liverpool then scored three goals through Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch and Salah.

Arne Slot’s troops will now face PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals.
