UNILORIN expelled two students and expelled three others for committing violations

The University of Ilorin has disciplined five students for various offences on campus. Among them, two students have been expelled, while three others have been ostracized for an academic session.

According to a statement released on Monday by Kunle Akogun, Director of Corporate Affairs at the University, the Vice Chancellor approved the forced expulsion and removal following the recommendation of the Students Disciplinary Committee on Friday, July 5, 2024.

The expelled students were Olayoonu Amos from the Department of Human Kinetics and Ibrahim Taoreed from the Department of Educational Management.

Those quarantined for one academic session are Olabanji Toluwanimi David (Matric. No. 21/52HL103), from the Department of Communication and Information Sciences, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, Dosunmu Ezekiel Olabanji (Matric. No. 20/66MG101), from the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management Sciences, and Obadairo-Yusuf Adedoyin Babatunde (Matric. No. 20/52HP052), from the Department of Telecommunication Sciences, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences.
