Unity Cup: 20 Super Eagles players arrive at the camp before Ghana’s clash

It is at full speed in the Super Eagles camp, since 20 players have already landed in London for the Unity 2025 Cup.

With the beginning against Ghana just a few days away, the team is beginning to take shape.

The Unity Cup, which is executed from May 27 to 31, brings together Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in a four -nations tournament that aims to celebrate the cultural unity and show football talents throughout Africa and the Caribbean.

Among the first arrivals are several Super Eagles stars based in Europe, including Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyaka, Cyriel Van, Felix Agu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Nathan Tella and Semi Ajayi.

The end of AC Milan Samuel Chukwueze is also in the camp, which increases Nigeria’s attack options.

The unconditional of NPFL Ahmed Musa is also present, together with defender Igho Ogbu, who recently signed a contract extension with Slavia Prague.

His experience adds depth to a squad that combines internationally experienced with emerging national talent.

The players at home that have joined the team include Junior Nduka, Sodiq Ismaila, Waliu Ojetoyo, Ifeanyi Onybuchi, Papa Mustapha, Savior Isaac, Collins Ugwueze, Sikiru Alimi and Abubakar Adamu.

Its inclusion is part of coach Eric Chelle’s vision to integrate NPFL promising talents into the national configuration.

The goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye and Ams Obasogie, as well as defenders Chrisantus Uche and Bruno Onyemaechi are still expected.

Nigeria will begin its Unit Cup campaign against Ghana on Wednesday, May 28 at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.

With 20 players already inside, coach Chelle focuses on adjustment and cohesion tactics.

The tournament offers a unique opportunity for home players to make a claim for future calls while preparing the team for the next international tasks.
