Unizik Student dies after jumping from the construction between drug use

A tragic accident occurred at the University of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Awka, where a male student lost his life after jumping from a three -storey building near the university gate.

According to eye witnesses, the accident occurred in a student loggia near the campus.

The residents in the area said they had heard a strong thud and rushed out, just to find the student who lay in a pool of blood.

He was immediately brought to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Preliminary relationships suggest that the student may have consumed hard drugs before falling.

It was also discovered that his roommate, who at the time was in the same apartment, seemed to be under the influence of similar substances and was found in a disoriented and inconsistent state.

Since then the roommate has been taken in custody by the police and should be questioned once the stability is regained.

The authorities have not yet issued the identity of the deceased and efforts are underway to contact his family.

An official investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is currently underway.
