THE Joint advice for admissions and atrimization said that parents or any third party of candidates who are established for the unified tertiary registration exam are now not allowed to access the candidates’ profiles and to be corrected, with the exception of the candidates themselves.
The board of directors also warned its zonal and state offices at the national level not to “transform any business on the profiles of candidates” at the request of parents, tutors or other proxies, except that candidates come in person
The council noted that it would apply sanctions to one of its workers or to the computer test center which is lacking in the rule.
Jamb indicated them in a letter signed by the director of the Department of Test Administration, on behalf of the Regsitrar, Prof Is-Haq Oloyede.
The letter has been published in the weekly jam bulletin obtained by our correspondent and is entitled “Advisory on non-tendence to third party / proxy of cundidates in all computer test centers and assembly offices
The Council said: “It was observed that there are cases of conflict on the authorization of changes on candidates’ data, mainly between candidates and their parents or tutors.
“Consequently, no one, including parents or tutors or no proxies Computer test centers. There is no exception to this instruction.
“All the offices of Zonal and of Jamb State and the accredited and approved CBT centers are intended to comply strictly with this instruction without any renunciation or use or abuse of discretion. The advice system is automated to monitor, report and alert access and alteration on the profile of all candidates, including information on the person, place and system or installations that have transformed these activities.
“The board of directors will not hesitate to sanction a person or a center which does not respect this directive.” .
