VDM Condemns Tonto Dikeh Prayer Video, Says “God Don’t Call Him, He Doesn’t Know Him”

Controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has sparked debate after reacting to Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh’s online prayer video. The mother of one has been sharing clips of herself praying in tongues since she publicly embraced her born-again faith.

In response, VDM shared a short clip of Tonto’s prayer, claiming that “God did not call him” and stating that neither he nor some clerics are truly known to God. He argued that prayer without concrete action is meaningless and explained that he made the comment because of his influence as a celebrity.

VDM also criticized the church’s priorities, stating that many prominent clerics, including Bishops David Oyedepo and David Ibiyeomie, focused on building massive auditoriums rather than creating jobs for Nigerians.

He compared him to Dangote’s grandfather, who engaged in productive trade, and said that if 20% of Nigerians returned to farming, the country could generate a food surplus.

He further referred to leaders like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who prayed before achieving success but relied on skill and intelligence to succeed. VDM stressed that prayers alone cannot solve Nigeria’s challenges and urged its citizens to take actionable steps in employment and production.

This is not the first time VDM has publicly commented on Tonto Dikeh’s journey of faith. A few months ago, he shared another video of his prayer and asked him to repeal the law
