Very Dark Man begs singer Davido to influence Dammy Krane release

Nigerian activist, critic and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM) has appealed to singer Davido to influence the release of Dammy Krane.

Very Dark Man made the request after revealing information about the interaction at the police station on Instagram on August 28, which then attracted much public interest.

Very Dark Man wrote about how, during a recent visit to the station, he unexpectedly encountered Dammy Krane in police custody in a photo uploaded to his official Instagram profile.

He said that he came to the police station to express his gratitude to the police who had helped him in carrying out his duties.

While he was there, another inmate told him that one of the cells contained a celebrity with dreadlocks.

VDM was curious and asked to see the person, but was shocked to find out that the person was none other than Dammy Krane.

He wrote; “I didn’t expect to meet him,” VDM said, adding that their relationship had been strained by insults from Krane in the past. When VDM asked Krane why he was being held, Krane replied that he was being held by Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

According to him, Krane claimed, “Davido is the one who put me here.” VDM then confronted Krane about his previous allegations against Davido, saying, “Why didn’t he do it? You keep attacking him and his family for no reason and no evidence. You started by saying he owes you money and changed his name from OBO to OB owe, with no evidence.”

However, VDM used the medium to plead with Davido to free his colleague through a heartfelt message and also begged him to give Dammy Krane a second chance.

“David Adeleke, Davido, be my brother, be my man, and one thing I know about you is that you are very good people and you are not a bully,” VDM began his heartfelt plea.

He continued, “I beg you, this is not you, this is not your personality… abeg! Give this person a second chance,” he pleaded.
