The burial of Nollywood actor John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has taken place in his hometown of Amuri, Nkanu West Local Government Area of ββEnugu State.
The actor passed away in March 2024 in Lagos due to cardiac arrest, following complications from the amputation of a leg.
Mr Ibu, born and raised in Enugu, gained recognition in 2004 with the film βMr Ibuβ, which also starred the late Ita Iheme.
Over the course of his prolific career, he has appeared in more than 200 Nollywood films, becoming a household name with hits such as βMr. Ibuβ, βMr. Ibu and His Sonβ, βCoffin Producersβ, βHusband Suppliersβ, βInternational Playersβ, βMr. Ibu in Londonβ and βPolice Recruitβ.
The late John Okafor graduated from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu State.
His comedic talent and unique style have endeared him to millions of fans both in Nigeria and internationally.
Mr. Ibu has died at the age of 62, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and memorable performances
