Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has officially joined Turkish champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli, ending months of transfer speculation linking him with Chelsea and Al Ahli.
The 25-year-old Nigerian striker took to social media to celebrate his move and shared his excitement with Galatasaray fans.
“I’m super excited to be part of the Galatasaray family! I can’t wait to give it my all and make the most of this new journey with such an amazing group and fans.
“We are ready to create unforgettable memories together!” Osimhen posted.
His move to Galatasaray was made possible by the extension of the Turkish transfer window, which allowed the Istanbul club to secure the deal after the European window closed.
Galatasaray will cover between 9 and 10 million euros of Osimhen’s salary, and the striker will wear the number 45 shirt.
Osimhen is expected to lead Galatasaray’s attack in the absence of Mauro Icardi, who is currently sidelined with an injury.
The two forwards are expected to form a powerful partnership once Icardi returns in October.
Galatasaray fans have expressed their excitement at the arrival of the prolific striker, eager to see him make an impact in domestic and European competitions.
This move marks a new chapter in Osimhen’s career as he continues to strengthen his reputation as one of Europe’s best strikers.
His dedication and passion for his new club will surely make him a fan favourite in Turkey.
