WAFCON 2024: Super Falcons to face Ghana in friendly

The perennial rivals, the super hawks of Nigeria and the black princesses of Ghana will face a friendly before the Women’s Africa Cup 2024.

The international friendly between the two super powers of African women’s football will remain in Morocco.

The Super Falcons are scheduled to face Portugal in their second friendly before Wafcon 2024 finals in Lisbon next week on Monday.

Justine Madugu’s team defeated Cameroon’s indomitable 2-0 liones in Moshers Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta two weeks ago.

The players and their officials are expected to leave Lisbon for Morocco on Tuesday, June 25, where they will have their final preparations for the competition.

The black princesses arrived in Benslimane, Morocco for the final stage of their preparation on Tuesday.

They are attracted to group C with the Banyana Banyana Defensores champions of South Africa, Mali and Tanzania.

Nigeria will face Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria in Group B.

The Super Falcons will open their campaign against Tunisia at the Larbi Zaouli stadium in Casablanca on Sunday, July 5.

Morocco will organize the Biennial Competition from Saturday, July 5 to Saturday, July 26, 2025.
