According to Bolanews.co, Okafor’s decision, who won the recently completed, Wafcon to play for Nigeria, after initially showing the commitment to represent Nigeria has not been good with people in the country.

His mother who is from Malawi has been largely touched as the greatest disappointment in his decision, but argued in his interview with the Wafcon that was his daughter’s only decision.

“It’s not me; it was his choice. Nigeria wrote a letter; he had no voice; it was his choice. I told him to choose not to regret the future, so he came from her.”

Okafor did not play a single game for Nigeria in the tournament due to tactical injuries and problems, but it is still optimistic because its opportunity will definitely come.

“All this time I knew that I had to stay patient and my time will arrive. I can not hurry at all. I have to make sure that I will spend my time and that everything is going to align in the way that it is supposed to do it,” he said upon arrival in Nigeria.

“So I will continue to be a patient, my time will come and when I do it, I will make the most of it.”
