  11. Love Lillias White. I know her from Sesame Street when she played Lillian Edwards, and ran a home care from her apartment on Sesame Street, and was introduced in 1990 (season 21, Episode 2681) when Maria was seeking a good daycare for Gabi. She became a regular cast member the following season (1990-1991, season 22). A kindly woman with a Jamaican accent, Lillian took care of human children and monsters on the show for 3 years in the early 90's, from 1990 to 1993 (seasons 21 to 24), winning a Daytime Emmy Award for the role in 1992. During her time as a cast member, she sang on a number of segments such as "Every Bit a' Litter Hurts," "Hand Talk," and "Part of the Whole." She also voiced the lead singer of the Squirrelles. A kindly woman with a Jamaican accent, Lillian took care of human children and monsters alike for four seasons.

White is best known for her work as a Broadway actress, portraying Miss Jones in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (with Matthew Broderick, Jonathan Freeman, Megan Mullally, and the voice of Walter Cronkite); Sonja in The Life, for which she won a Tony Award; Effie in a concert version of Dreamgirls; and substituted as Grizabella in Cats. Her film roles include the voice of the lead Muse in Disney's animated feature Hercules and a small part in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Television credits include guest roles on Law & Order and NYPD Blue. She is also a prominent house-music singer and has worked extensively with producer George Morel.

White returned to Sesame Street in season 37, appearing in episode 4112 as Miss Walsh, Gabi's and Miles's kindergarten teacher, in a flashback sequence. In 2006, she performed at the Annual Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala.

  13. this is just strange.
all these useless people standing around in masks acting like they’ve never heard this before.

  14. Fun fact: My dad is actually an Uber driver and he actually drove her to rehearsal. He text me all excited after he realized who she was.

  15. the only way to know your starpower is legendary, look at the cameraman and if you see him smiling even when in a mask, you dead know you've got IT!

  16. She’s a LEGEND. She’s bares her heart and soul into everything she does. I’ve seen her in many shows and cabarets and always leave happy and inspired. THANK YOU Auntie Lillias
