The Rivers state woman group under the auspices of River Professional Women League (RPWL), has denied allegations by former Governor and Minister of Federal Capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike, that they walked out of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
Wike said their actions walked in Mrs. Tinubu during a function in the state sponsored, “very disturbing and embarrassing.”
Women have created a scene on Friday when they strike during the Women’s Initiative Empowerment Program organized by the wife of President Hope Initiative who was updated at Port Harcourt, the Capital of the State.
During the protest came out, the women strongly refused to be handled by the wife of one administrator, Dr. Theresa Ibas who represented the First Lady in the program.
When greeting a way out in a statement issued by his aide, Lere Olayinka, Wike said the women were sponsored by the same person who had requested a second reconciliation and opportunity, apparently referring to the Governor who was deferred by SIM Fubara.
But in a statement signed together by Nimi Fiberisima, ESQ. The President, Jennifer Boms Wolugbom, Secretary and Tambari Menete, Publicity Director, RPWL said Wike only came out to squeeze them by “trying hard to turn the narrative to calm their goals.”
The RPWL blamed the Minister for allegedly turning the narrative about what happened at the event, emphasizing that they were misinterwritten that the wife of the Chairman of the House of Representatives, Fatima Abass, would speak to them, only to realize that Ibas’s wife was a representative of the First Lady.
They argue that the ongoing use of wikes of the peaceful disposition of river people to haunt them has become their article in trade lately and will be unfair and counter-productive to continue this extortion path.
They stressed that Wike had devoted more time for activities in the river outside his main assignment in Abuja where he oversees as Minister of Federal Capital Region.
“We are annoyed with constant warming that is not necessary from this river government. It is very stale to tell the public that the Governor of Siminaayi Fubara is not in any way involved or directed one of the Rivers women to act in the name of what happened at Port Harcourt on Friday, May 2, 2025,” said the statement that took place at Port Harcourt on Friday, May, 2025 “May,” May 2, 2025, “

“The women are only organic supporters who do not want to be brought to go up. Like the Governor Siminalayi Fubara stepping over the path of peace and starting the reconciliation process, it is not translated into slavery and/or insulting the sensitivity of the river as manipulated.
“It is clear that Rivers women are not and cannot get out of the First Lady Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu or do not respect her husband, President of Bola Tinubu.
“Such narration is an imaginative spinning of the head of Nyesom Wike to blackmail people, as usual. What people fail to understand is that political positions are temporary and in a short time this historical phase will pass and all actors will also fail, some on the good side and several other people on the bad side.
“Why do things always different in the state of Rivers just because Wike is a minister?
“The truth remains that the Rivers women hold the First Lady Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at a high price and cannot walk out to him.
“The breakup is that the woman was wrong information that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, would be represented by the wife of the Chairman of the House of Representatives, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, on the power that they were happy to mobilize and cheerfully ready to accept it.
“Unfortunately, when they gathered with hope, they were surprised to see Mrs. Theresa Ibas, who automatically was not right.
“Therefore, it is unfounded and does not make sense for the head of Nyesom Wike suddenly concluded, as usual, for at least, that the women Rivers humiliated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and with the extension of Mr. President.
“There is no doubt that Rivers Women respects and loves Mr. President, his leadership and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and supports his visionary empowerment program, renewing hope initiatives, but the challenges are often, the head of Wike tends to be more Catholic than the Pope.
“He felt he was the only Nigerian who loved and supported the president, and almost believed that the president’s breath depends on him.
“Leave it clear for all ‘trees not to make the forest’. Let’s pay attention to the attention of time, over time, of course, will definitely tell.”
