A former candidate for the Democratic Party Governor (PDP) in the State of Lagos, Abdul-Azeez Adediran alias Jandor has explained why the party played the second violin to the Congress of all Progressive (APC) in the state.
Adiran spoke with journalists after he gave his voice in the local council election on Saturday at the Polling 001 unit, Ward D, Irewe, a river community in the Ojo Negara region.
He said PDP would continue to lose elections in the state because of the weak grassroots structure.
Adediran, who returned to APC this year. emphasized that for PDP to win the country and displace the ruling party, it must work very hard at the grassroots.

“While in PDP we come with fresh ideas, and we do our best, but cannot make progress because PDP as a party is rarely known at the grassroots,” he said.
“APC, as a party in the state of Lagos, for many years building a strong grassroots structure. This party is the name of a household in every community.
“Based on this, people like us, with a number of followers, join the train to build the inheritance of the previous leaders rather than remain in opposition.
“Like standing, PDP does not have the status of the grassroots to compete with APC in the state of Lagos. I salute the President Aswaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for laying the basis of the party’s progress in the state as governor.”
