The former player, who was also a product of grassroots football development in the state before leaving the Nigerian coast, disclosed this while answering questions from journalists at the Mega Scouting programme organised by Shino Sport and Kontinental Management programme holding at the University of Ibadan Sports Complex, Awo.

He said the desire to give back to the society that created him was the reason he chose the pace-setting state. He added that spotting emerging talents scattered across the state without a defined direction with the intention of turning them into gold informs his decision.

Speaking to reporters, the soft-spoken admin noted that getting players out of the dungeon, like he himself did during his glory days, inspired him. He said that he is on a mission to get talented players discovered in the program a better deal in Europe, adding that he hopes that those players will also replicate the same with upcoming talents in the near future. In his words:

“I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Oyo State Government ably led by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Football Association under the able leadership of His Royal Highness James Odeniran and the good people of the state for the hospitality they have extended to us since the inception of the Scouting Programme. The state is truly a pioneer in terms of peace and love extended to foreign scouts.”

“Honestly, soeaking, many talents are in this directionless state and this is the state that has created someone like me. I started my career here before leaving the shores of Nigeria and I consider it a great achievement to nurture more talents and give them optimum visibility and career success in the near future.”

Adeyemo added: “The scouts we brought from Europe appreciate the talents they see here and we hope that by the special grace of God the selected ones will meet the standard requirements in Europe and get a good transfer.

“I thank Almighty God for the success of this program. The grace to start and finish well. The weather is nice and the atmosphere is pleasant throughout the day. My deepest thanks also to Shino Sport and the management of Kontinental. They have been a great help. To each and every one of you as well, the management staff, the coaching staff, the medical team and the media. You are all excellent,” he concluded enthusiastically.
