The leaders of the Democratic Party of people (PDP) faithful to the Minister of the Territory of the Federal capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike, have established conditions for the imminent national party convention.
They asked that the position of the National President remained in the center North in line with the 2021 zoning agreement.
Meeting in Abuja on the platform of eminent leaders and interested with the interested parties of the PDP, the group also asked for new conferences in the south-east, Ebonyi, Anambra and Ekiti.
They insisted that the outcome of the South-South congress was held in Calabar and supported by the court.
Reading the press release, the former governor of the state of Benue Samuel Ortom warned that any convention conducted without responding to these requests would be not valid, as it would not like to fly legitimate members.
Among those present, the Minister of FCT, the National Secretary of the PDP Samuel Anyanwu, the former OKIZIE IKPEAZU Governors, Samuel Ortom, Ayo Fayose, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, leader of the minority of the Chamber of Representatives Kingsley Chinda, sparrows of Rivers Martins Amawhule, assistance and former presidents.
The leaders reiterated the commitment to equity, justice and inclusiveness within the party, underlining that only a transparent and legitimate convention could guarantee the unity and restore the strength of the PDP as the main opposition of Nigeria.
