Wike should pay N7M land rent to show loyalty to PDP – Bode George

A former Deputy Chairperson of the National Democratic Party (PDP), South, Head of Bode George, on Tuesday stated sadness over the sealing of the National Secretariat of the Party’s for land lease deposits that had not been paid by the Federal Capital Administration (FCTA).

The PDP Secretariat in Abuja is one of the properties sealed by the FCTA man for unpaid land rent during the Monday enforcement training.

The tigers were then given a suspension of a sentence of 14 days after the intervention of the Tinubu Ball President.

George spoke on the television program Channels, Politics Today.

He regretted that the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, who ratified the act of law enforcement, was a member of the PDP who was supposed to pay debts to show their loyalty to the party.

He said: “We were told that we had not paid ₦ 7 million, and therefore, we failed to pay land rent. The painful part was that the minister was also a member of our party. They waited until the day we held our NEC meeting to close the place.

“Speaking as an African, culturally, let’s see him as his father’s house where he was raised, where he went to school, and became a public personality. What did you do to pay back the family?”

“What ₦ 7 million? He should only tell them, ‘Okay, ₦ 7 million, I will pay from Sakuku. Take a receipt back to the party secretariat. You know, you are a fool.

“‘I am really committed to this house; I am really loyal to this house. I will not destroy it. This is a receipt, returning my money.’ That’s what you call the true son of the family.

“I mentioned Wike of my political son. He, in his first political sightsee, elected on the party’s platform as the Chairperson of the Regional Government. Then, he became the Chief of Staff for the elected governor of this party, who at that time he was Governor of Goodluck Jonathan appointed him as Minister of State for education in our party, then became governor for eight years on the party platform.”
