Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is confident that the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda will see a different character in the team.
Ndidi acknowledged that the team’s recent performances have not been up to their standards and that their fight to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is far from ideal.
Despite these challenges, he remains optimistic that the team will turn things around when they resume qualifying for the African Cup of Nations against the Republic of Benin, a team they lost to in their last encounter.
“To be honest, it’s not where we wanted to be or in the position we wanted to be in. They were tough games. I think we just have to be good and try to correct some mistakes and try harder in these games,” said Ndidi.
He highlighted the team’s determination to achieve a victory, starting with the match against the Republic of Benin.
“We will definitely win. We will try to do everything possible to get the victory. We will see what happens now. We will see what happens.”
