With Prime Boy’s surrender, the investigation into Mohad’s death makes forward

The suspect Prime Boy, who was wanted by the Nigerian police, has turned himself in to assist with the investigations surrounding the murder of his companion Mohbad, which has given the police’s inquiry into the peculiar circumstances surrounding his death a good turn.

Owodunni Ibrahim, better known by his stage as Prime Boy, was proclaimed a wanted man by the Nigerian police on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, after ignoring their summons to interrogate him. Prime Boy did, however, turn himself in earlier today, on Thursday, October 5, 2023. The police confirmed this through the office of the Lagos State command’s PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, who shared a statement that read, “Following his being declared wanted, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin aka Primeboy has turned himself in. He was promptly arrested for questioning and other appropriate procedures. The Lagos State Police Command wants to reassure everyone—family, friends, Mohbad followers, and the general public—that every effort would be made to conduct a thorough inquiry. The Command further guarantees that everyone discovered to be responsible for Mr. Ilerioluwa Aloba alias Mohbad’s killing would be brought to justice.

Following the public outcry of friends, relatives, and well-meaning Nigerians, the Nigerian police force has been active in making sure that no information is left out on the inquiry into the terrible death of the quickly rising rapper Mohbad in September 2023.
