Women cried when Herdmen cows destroyed their agriculture in IMO (video)

A annoying video has appeared on a social media platform where an old woman in the IMO state is seen crying and lamenting after arriving at her agriculture only to find that the Fulani herds have led their cows to destroy all their plants.

In the video shared on various platforms including X and Facebook on Friday, the woman, was seen crying bitterly and called on the Governor of the State, hoping Uzodinma would come to help him because the only source of livelihoods had been destroyed by the raging shepherd.

Commenting on a troublesome video in a post on his Facebook page, the National Coordinator of the Association of Human Rights Nigeria (Huriwa), Emmanuel Onwubiko, asks security agents to do everything possible to examine the threatened shepherds who have taken themselves to cause pain and misery for citizens and other countries.

“The ineffectiveness of the Nigerian security forces in limiting this cruelty is no longer a subject of debate. It is very clear, that the agency assigned to maintain life and property has been compromised, or does not have the capacity to act decisively,” Onwubiko said.

“Many times, the community has increased alarm over suspicious movements and soaring threats, only to make their worries dismissed or ignored until the tragedy occurs. This failure is unintentional.

“In the past, reports have emerged from several security operators, helping or protecting the terrorists they should be neutralized.

“The reluctance of the military and police to pursue these killers with the same spirit used to other groups, is a striking indication of bias and involvement,” he added.
