Yobe: Police arrest woman for the alleged m*rder of her husband

The Yobe State Police Command, through the headquarters of the Fika division, arrested Hadiza Mamuda of Garin Abba, area of the local government of Fika, for presumably killed her husband following a discussion on on food.

This was disclosed in a declaration by SP Dungus Abdulkarim, head of Police Public Relations, and made available to journalists in Damaturu, Yobe State Capital.

According to the declaration, according to what was reported, the suspicion used a wooden trunk to fatally attack the victim.

“An investigation is underway and the suspicion will be accused in debt court courts.

“The victim, a polygamous man with two wives and five children (including the accused), leaves a family in mourning,” says the declaration.

The police commissioner, CP Emmanuel Ado, underlined the need for marital intervention initiatives based on the community to curb violence and domestic abuses.

He also urged religious leaders to intensify awareness campaigns on the dangers of physical violence in marriages.

The command reiterated its commitment to guarantee the safety of all citizens.
