Bello El-Rufai, one of the sons of former Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai, Bello, has attacked The Nation newspaper columnist Sam Omatseye for calling his family by derogatory names in his latest column in the newspaper.
In a column headlined โLike a cheating father,โ Omatseye described the El-Rufai family as shameless and criminally minded in response to an earlier tweet by Bello labeling him a โshameless idiot.โ
The article was read:
โA tweet went viral last week from the fingers of lawmaker and son of former Kaduna state governor, Bello El-Rufai.
“I didn’t see it until a few people forwarded it to me. A former minister also sent it to me with the comment, ‘This little jerk needs to be taught a lesson.'”
โWhat did Bello, a member of the DPR, write?
โThank you. I left the office early to take him to the airport. I just told him that so many of you love him and have supported him. I shared some tweets with him. We also laughed at a shameless idiot, Sam the 70-year-old housekeeper, from Toilet Paper called The Nation.

โHe accompanied the tweet with a photo of the back of his father, a former governor who would rather bleed than talk.
โBello himself was spoiled by his father. He never had a permanent job in this country before becoming a member of parliament, except for working at a Chinese company that his father helped. He went to school abroad.

Responding to the article, an angry Bello retaliated using his X account to Omatseye.
He wrote: “It’s your family who are shameless, who are they? You are just a lackey sent to write a badly written article. Who are you?
โThe man is here, he defends himself, he ignores all of you, but you still can’t stop shaking before going to bed because he bothers you.โ
