Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, on Saturday, directed security agencies to end thuggery in the state metropolis.
Yusuf, who stated this at a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting in Kano, condemned the recent increase in thuggery and clashes between hoodlums known as “Yan Daba” in some parts of the metropolis.
The governor said his administration would not condone actions that could disturb the peace and security of the state.

He tasked judges with ensuring speedy and fair trials of suspected thugs and warned against releasing those who threaten citizens.
The governor tasked security agencies to focus on their primary responsibility of protecting lives and property in the state.
He also invited the public to contribute to maintaining law and order in their country.
